Leijona

The historic St. Louis County Jail in Duluth, MN was purchased and a plan put in place to adapt it into apartments. We were approached to develop a brand that helped market the property.

We created a name and identity that paid homage to the history of the area & architecture while signaling a change. The Leijona identity system embraces a clean and modern aesthetic that takes nuanced inspiration from iconic classical qualities of the building. The modular logo and grid system was informed by the stone block construction of the building and the carved lettering found above the main entrance.

Branding. Brand Guidelines. Interiors Collaboration.
